Senior Project Manager
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
Qualifications: Professional Engineering License; Minimum 10+ years of relevant work experience, including 5 years of supervisory experience; Strong business development and client relationship skills; Diverse engineering or construction management experience including but not limited to: highway design, drainage analysis, construction oversight, and permitting; Experience with MicroStation and Bentley Software systems.
Responsibilities: Provide effective leadership to reporting staff members; Determine and manage client expectations; Supervise design projects using the Bentley Software Package; Assist with business development efforts by selling work, negotiating contracts, and maintaining strong client relationships; Take responsibility for company revenue growth.
Senior Civil Engineer
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
Qualifications: Professional Engineering License; Minimum of 10+ years of relevant work experience; Strong project coordination skills; Diverse design experience including but not limited to: highway design, drainage analysis, erosion and sediment control planning, geotechnical inspections, and permitting; Experience with MicroStation and Bentley Software systems.
Responsibilities: Produce innovative design plans to meet client expectations; Perform design calculations and organize project submittals; Offer informed engineering recommendations towards the design process; Contribute to business development; Take responsibility for client satisfaction.
Project Engineer
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management,
or related field
Qualifications: EIT certification; Necessary educational requirements or 1-5 years of experience with engineering analysis and design; Experience with transportation, geotechnics, or hydrology is preferred.
Responsibilities: Develop design plans for review and approval by supervising engineer; Assist with design review processes and permitting submissions; Perform engineering calculations to inform design decisions; Engage in personal training and professional development.
Engineering CAD Designer
Education: Associates of Applied Technology, or equivalent technical experience
Qualifications: 3-5 years of experience in drafting/design work with Bentley Software Systems, specifically MicroStation.
Responsibilities: Provide expertise in the realm of Computer Aided Design (CAD) specifically as it relates to Bentley Software Systems and MicroStation; Produce engineering design plans under the supervision and direction of a civil engineering designer.

About Sherri Newland
Sherri Newland is the founder, co-owner, and principal engineer of S&C Associates. She has twenty years of expertise in project management, civil engineering, materials testing, and construction engineering in both the private and public sector. Her industry experience includes solid waste, aviation, transportation, commercial development, and residential development. She has been extensively involved with project permitting, drainage design, and stormwater pollution prevention plan development for projects in Idaho, Utah, and Colorado.
Sherri is a registered Professional Engineer in Idaho and a Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control.
About Doug Camenisch
Doug Camenisch, co-owner and principal engineer, joined S&C Associates in the fall of 2023. He has an extensive engineering and project management background with over thirty years of experience delivering award-winning state and local transportation projects throughout Idaho. His experience includes managing diverse teams on projects of all sizes, from local neighborhood enhancements to multi-year mega projects. While the majority of his career has been focused on Idaho, he has also provided engineering, quality assurance, and management services for clients across the western United States.
Doug is a registered Professional Engineer in Idaho, Oregon, and Utah.
